This is my personal website. I’m Walter Hofstetter, based in Zürich, Switzerland, and I’m the person responsible for any data processed here. If you have questions, reach me at walter.hofstetter@netwho.com.
Server logs. Like any website, netwho.ch runs on a web server that automatically logs basic technical information for every visit — IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamp. This is standard hosting-level logging used for security and to keep the site running, and I don’t use it to track you individually.
Google Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser fetches these fonts, your IP address is sent to Google. Google’s own privacy policy explains how they handle that. I haven’t added a consent banner for this because no cookies are set and no personal profile is built here — but if that changes, I’ll update this page.
Cookies. I don’t run any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site. WordPress itself only sets cookies if you log in as an admin — as a visitor, browsing netwho.ch doesn’t set any cookies at all.
The contact form. The Contact page uses a simple mailto: link — clicking “send” just opens your own email app with a pre-filled message. Nothing you type is transmitted to or stored on this website; it goes straight from your email client to my inbox, the same as if you’d emailed me directly.
Links to other sites. I link out to GitHub, YouTube, and anyweb-training.ch, among others. Once you click through, you’re on their turf, governed by their own privacy policies — worth checking those if you’re curious.
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (and GDPR, if you’re visiting from the EU), you can ask me what data I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Given how little this site actually collects, that’s usually a short conversation — email me at walter.hofstetter@netwho.com and I’ll sort it out.
I may update this page occasionally as the site evolves. The date at the top will always reflect the current version.
